you were worth initiating conversation with, you were worth an ounce of effort to read whatever you wrote and pick something you show minimal interest, and you were worth a reply.

you just never hear from them again.

kind of makes me go "what the fuck?" what the fuck could someone possibly say in a reply that makes you go from being mildly interested to just clicking on delete and not talking to them again. just always something that perplexed me.
