Explanations, excuses, reasons, and admittance of fault never change the tinge on the spotlight shining upon you, for actions always speak louder than words and the past resonates deeply with each imminent beat.

Yet, at the crossroad between second chances and outright denial, and as memories cut themselves on the sharp edges of the palisades that have fallen to disrepair and bleed, nimbly, onto the canvas of indecision, sun-kissed pleasantries strike a dulcet chord. Antiquity unveils the softening callousness. Recollection brings back a salty after-taste.
