someone thought it would be fantastic fucking idea to dig up the piping undreneath my apartment building at 7am, thus inducing an almost earthquake within my apartment and freaking the shit out of my cat and dog...and thus, cutting my sleep time from a pleasant 5 hours, to a shitty 3. this makes me very unhappy, and kind of cranky...okay...that's the diet at work, but....i'm tired, and i don't like it.

someone thought self-checking at the grocery store would be a good idea......yea...what the shit is the point in that? if more than four items are on the belt, you have to bag 'em, or the fuckin thing won't let you scan anymore items. if you dont' scan something for more than 5 minutes, the program closes you out and you have to pay whatever you have scanned, even though you have half a kart still there. so, now..on top of it taking me a half hour to check out, i have about five charges on my credit card that should have just been one...which is now going to drive my financially anal self abso-fuckin-lutely crazy. and to top it off...the fuckin machine pronounced the price of every fucking item i scanned, and then in the loudest computerized voice ever, announced OVER and OVER again the price of my mini purchases....because everyone needs to know how much money i'm spending

I love the idea of self-checkouts...but it really sucks when you are stuck behind somebody who doesn't know how to work the damn things. It makes the whole process lame. That, and the bagging FUBAR make me sometimes hate self-checkout.
